The Lihu International Half Marathon was sponsored by the California Prune Board (CPB) and attracted over 10,000 runners including 200 foreign participants from different countries and cities like the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

 

California Prunes are strong component of a healthy lifestyle. In fact, new research suggests that prunes are instrumental for maintaining bone health. Sponsorship of the half marathon enabled the CPB to reinforce the image of prunes as a healthy snack and more effectively target health-conscious consumers.
