Since 2011, SMH International and American Pistachio Growers (APG) have organized the annual Miss California China Tour, where Miss California and a delegation of real pistachio growers visit all corners of China to promote California pistachios to consumers via PR events including road shows, retail store promotions, media conferences, seminars with health and nutritional professionals, television appearances, etc. Today, China has become the top importers of American pistachios in the world.
